End User Possibilities
Before finalizing the end user of First Responders, one other idea we had were those who had lost certain senses permanently, focusing on either the sense of touch or hearing. For the loss of touch (hypoesthesia), a possible need statement we had created, before once again finalizing the first aid responders, focused on helping those with hypoesthesia gain some sort of output before potentially being harmed in situations because of their loss of touch. An example of this could be if someone were to begin to grab a hot curling iron or a hot mug of coffee/tea, the device could potentially alert the user of possible harm it may cause before grabbing it. However, we chose the First Responders to the larger market that it would pertain to possibly not only First Responders, which is not necessarily the case for a device made for those with hypoesthesia.
Reviewing the Solid Model Sketches
As apart of the solid modelling team, before we started to sketch the designs on AutoDesk Inventor, it was important that we finalized the actual dimensions of the the GPIO Board, Raspberry Pi Board and the Bread Board to ensure that our design would effectively encase the entire structure. These are simply notes my partner and I made quickly as were deciding this.
